Four simple and easy ways to add a Festive spin to a bottle of sparkling wine. Perfect for fuss free Christmas and holiday gatherings.

Festive Fizz

Planning festive gatherings can be incredibly stressful, so tick one thing off the list with these four easy Festive cocktails. Add a Christmas spin to your favourite bottle of sparkling wine with one of these holiday themed drinks.

Easy Christmas Cocktails

Each of these easy Christmas Cocktails has only two ingredients, plus a garnish. They are all nice and quick to prepare and don’t require any prep apart from a little bit of shopping.

Festive Fizz

Prosecco is probably the most popular choice but you can use any type of sparkling wine for these easy cocktails – Cava or Cremant work perfectly. I love a glass of champagne but I think it’s best served solo – use the slightly cheaper stuff for cocktails as the additions would dilute the taste of the champagne.

These Festive Fizz recipes are great for sprucing up the most basic bottles of supermarket fizz – no need to splash out on anything crazy expensive.

Festive Mocktails

All of these festive fizz cocktails can be made into delicious and grown-up Christmas Mocktails with an easy switch. Simply swap the wine for your favourite non-alcoholic sparkling wine (Belle & Co is my personal favourite and an absolute bargain). You could also use soda water, sparkling lemonade or tonic water instead of wine if you wish.

Orange & Rosemary Mimosa

For this easy upgrade on the classic mimosa, simply top some fresh orange juice with your favourite sparkling wine. Add a sprig of rosemary for a festive garnish.

Candy Cane Bellini

Give your champagne flutes a super simple Christmas upgrade with this simple twist. Just add a mini Candy Cane to a glass of sparkling wine when ready to serve. It will add a fresh sweet and minty hint to the wine and turn it a lovely festive frosted white as it dissovles.

Cranberry Mimosa

Name a more festive fruit than the juicy red cranberry. These simple cocktails just contain cranberry juice topped up with sparkling wine. For a festive frosted garnish, rim your glasses with a lemon or lime wedge and dip in white sugar.

Pear & Pomegranate Bellini

Top some pomegranate juice with sparkling wine and garnish with delicate pear slices and pomegranate pearls for this delicious jewel toned Bellini.

I hope you like this recipe as much as I do! Please leave a comment or tag me on Instagram @carrieskitchen_ if you make it!

I would love to try all of these and especially the cranberry mimosa. I’ve realised I’m quite boring when it comes to drinks and rarely actually do anything more than open a bottle! Maybe this should be the year to change that!

Got to have some festive fizz at Christmas! I’ll take a glass of each please. Actually… I’ll then take an extra Pear & Pomegranate Bellini, as that’s really caught my eye 😘
